About Wright HR Solutions

WRIGHT HR SOLUTIONS was established in July 2002 to provide specialist Human Resources services and solutions, on a consultancy basis. The focus is to work closely with clients to fully understand their business and, as a result, help deliver sustainable and improved business performance. This close working relationship will allow specific solutions to be formulated and implemented for each client.

The proprietor of WRIGHT HR SOLUTIONS is Scott Wright. Scott specialises in HR Strategy, Change Management, Employment Legislation and Consultation/ Negotiation and has significant experience, both strategic and operational, across a wide range of issues and disciplines at all levels. His management background encompasses the utilities sector, where he has held senior management positions. This experience has been acquired over a twenty-five year period in both the public and private sectors, including a FTSE top 30 company operating in both the UK and USA.

Scott has an Honours Degree in Business Administration and a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Scott is actively involved in CIPD activities and is a past chair of the West of Scotland Branch.

Whilst having the experience and ability to provide HR advice and support across the full HR spectrum, emphasis will be on four key areas (click on them to find out more) - HR Strategy, Change Management, Employment Legislation, Consultation and Negotiation and Other Services.

HR Strategy
The development and delivery of an effective HR strategy that is in line with, and facilitates the delivery of, the overall business strategy is essential in translating the direction of the business into Human Resources policies, processes and plans. Employment Legislation
The volume, complexity and compensation levels relating to employment legislation and European Employment Directives is ever increasing and therefore directly increases the risk of non-compliance with the associated compensatory payments or non-compensatory penalties, such as imprisonment. The key services available in this area are as follows:

Legal compliance risk assessment
Advice and support in relation to ACAS Hearings and Employment Tribunals
Development and implementation of employment policies and procedures, These policies may be in the areas of, for example, recruitment, terms and conditions of employment, equal opportunities, bullying/harassment, alcohol and drugs, discipline, grievance, sickness absence and performance
Advice and support on organisational design/redesign and review
Advice and support on acquisitions, mergers, divestments and redundancies

Consultation/Negotiation
In addition to the statutory requirements to consult and negotiate with employees and, where appropriate, the relevant Trade Union(s), employers, in general, are introducing formal partnership agreements or adopting informal partnership practices. Development/review and, where appropriate, implementation of relevant consultative bodies/processes
